GATE Meeting Agenda #12 (3/16/21)

1. Monthly Project Theme: Mysterious March a) This is the last set of new monthly projects for the year! b) You can earn up to 8 points for each project (5 points for completion and 0-3 points for creativity) with 20 points max.

2. GATE X Ecology X CSF Upcycling Event a) GATE is collaborating with Ecology and CSF for an upcycling event from March to May! For March, we are challenging you to upcycle metal cans. b) You can get up to 3 points per submission (1 point for submitting and 0-2 points for effort/creativity) with 9 points max. for each month. 3. Studio.code.org a) This is a website that introduces students to the basics of computer science. There are three levels of courses, each with a different point maximum: i. CS Fundamentals: Express -- 6 Points Max. ii. CS Discoveries -- 10 Points Max. iii. CS Principles -- 15 Points Max. b) To participate, go to https://studio.code.org/join/ and insert the code GKQJWR.

Just in case you didn't come to our meeting, here are some of the reminders as well! A. Kahoot Game Day Collaboration with Ecology!! Come have fun and support your club! Next Tuesday (3/23) @ 2 PM i. As part of a bet, the losing cabinet will do a fun punishment that the members can watch! B. Cabinet Nominations Next Meeting! i. The roles of every GATE cabinet position will be described during the next meeting. However, if you want the descriptions of each cabinet position ahead of time, they will be posted onto our website under the “Cabinet” tab within these next several days. C.
