III. New Business

A. There are new updates on medallions, plaques, and other incentives for reward recipients only.

i. For seniors, all awards can be picked up through the senior pick-up event hosted by RHS on Thursday, May 28, from 1:50 to 4 PM. Check your inbox for Penalora’s email, which will be forwarded to you.

ii. All other grade levels can pick up their awards on the day where you check out your textbooks, which should be June 1 (you will be reminded before June 1).

B. Ongoing Cameo Video Fundraiser

i. You can request a video for a teacher to do for you through the Google form below. You have to pay $5 for every approved video request and the fundraiser ends on May 22.

C. Extracurricular Tracker

i. This is the last new point opportunity for GATE! You can earn points for answering questions about your extracurriculars (such as describing your EC”s and the amount of time you spend on it: hours/week and weeks/year).

a) This is highly encouraged for grades 9-11 to do in order to get ahead on resume-building and on college apps!

b) Point System: 1 Point per EC, 4 Points Max. (3 Points Max. for Non-GATE EC’s, 1 Point for GATE EC’s); Due June 6 (Sunday After Last Day of School)

D. The deadline for all GATE activities EXCEPT for the End-of-the-Year Survey and the EC Tracker is May 31 @ 11:59 PM. The End-of-the-Year Survey and the EC Tracker are both due June 6.

i. Check the GATE points spreadsheet if there are any errors and contact Katherine if there are any.
