POINT GUIDELINES

Required amount of points for a GATE Medallion (cumulative): 200 points

At least 30 of these points must be obtained during senior year​

Required amount of MONTHLY projects for a GATE Medallion (cumulative):

At least 4 monthly projects by end of senior year

It is suggested that members obtain at least 50 points & complete 1 monthly project each year.

However, members who work hard can earn more than 200 points per year!

Since points are cumulative, it's possible to make up for the points from a previous year if you did not reach the suggested 50 points per year last year.

Seniors are required to attend 5 meetings

Points breakdown:
Meetings - 1 point
Fundraisers - 3 points + 2 point for each nonmember guest*
Projects - 8 points + up to 2 points based on effort= 10 points max (25 pt cap each month)

College-Bound projects and Personal Insight Questions are not part of the monthly projects' point cap and will be graded with the same point system as monthly projects.
Field trips/Plays - 3 points + 3 point evaluation= 6 points max
Individual Trips - 1 point + 2 point evaluation= 3 points max
3.8+ GPA - 2 points
Extracurricular Activities (Given at the end of the year) - 2 points each = 6 points max
*Maximum of 3 nonmember guests will be counted for.
