B. GATE x Eco x CSF April Upcycling Project

C. Cabinet Nominations

D. Deadline for Medallion and Plaque Recipients

III. New Business

A. Information on Medallions, Plaques, and Other Incentives

i. Medallions can be picked up at senior pickup. Plaques will be picked up at RHS near the end of the school year, but that is TBD. We will announce that information through Facebook and through email.

ii. GATE members with the top 10 highest point totals will get surprise incentives for their hard work! We will have more specific details on that and how to pick them up next week through email.

B. Cameo Fundraiser

i. This fundraiser will run from May 9 to May 22. Essentially, members can request a personalized video from a teacher of their choosing.

a) You could congratulate someone who’s graduating, wish someone a happy birthday, tell someone good luck on exams/tests, etc. It is up to you what you want to ask for, but it’s generally something for encouragement or congratulations.

(1) This is good for friends who are about to graduate or have a birthday coming up.

ii. Every video will cost $5. You can start making video requests next week on the Google form we post.

a) Your request must be school appropriate. Moreover, there is no guarantee your request will be approved because teachers can reject requests. If rejected, you don’t have to pay $5. If approved, you have to go to school and pay $5, but the details and the date are to be announced.

C. Makeup May

i. This is the same as Academic April, where you can do any past monthly projects of your choice.

a) Point System: 5 Points for Submission, 0-3 for Effort/Creativity; 20 Points Max.

ii. Underclassmen: This is a great opportunity to fulfill monthly projects requirements and medallion requirements.

D. GATE x Eco x CSF May Upcycling

i. May Upcycling Project Theme: Upcycle a toilet paper roll.

ii. You can get up to 3 points per submission (1 point per submission, 0-2 for effort/creativity) with 9 points max. You will submit through a Google form.

E. Virtual Touring

i. This is the same as last week, where you can choose any location to virtually tour. You will submit your answers into the Google form. You get 3 points for each submission with 9 points max.

F. Reminder: End-of-the-Year Survey

i. If you had a great or terrible GATE experience, we want to know, so please fill out the GATE survey! We will use the feedback to help create a better GATE experience for you.

a) It will take about 15-20 minutes to complete and you will get 5 POINTS!

G. AP Exam Resources

i. Please take advantage of our AP Exam Resources Guide. It includes commonly used materials as well as advice from those who have already taken the exam to help you out. We also have AP prep books available for you. Please fill out the Google Form if you want to borrow an AP prep book.

IV. Fun Fact: Carnations have a special meaning on Mothers’ Day. A red carnation means your mother is still alive, while a white carnation means your mother has passed.
