Meeting No. 4 Agenda (11/3/20) I. Call to Order II. Old Business A. Obtainable October B. Science Virtual Touring C. Vocabulary.com Event (Today is the Last Day) D. Game Day i. Thank You to Everyone Who Participated and Filled Out the Survey! ii. Our next game day is going to include 4 Kahoot games: general trivia, random trivia, vocabulary-based, and a college-themed Kahoot in accordance with our new virtual touring theme. III. New Business A. New Monthly Project: Neverland November (click here) B. New Virtual Touring Theme: Colleges (click here) i. Members can do any college on any college website, even if the college is not listed in the GATE website. If you want to do a virtual college tour through a Youtube video, ask for approval from cabinet members first. C. Freerice (November to December) i. For every question correct, Freerice will donate 5 grains of rice to a charity. This is usually 10 grains, but now 5 because of COVID and ad revenue. ii. Point System: 3 points for 5,000 grains of rice donated, 6 points for 10,000 grains of rice donated iii. 3 additional points for top 3 members with the most Freerice points iv. 4th and 5th place for most grains will get 1 additional point v. Club Challenge: if we can get to 1,000,000 grains total, all participants with at least 15,000 grains of rice will get 4 extra points vi. Need to join Freerice group to have your grains counted for points; code: TTLFPXF7 vii.
