Meeting No. 1 Agenda (9/22/20) I. Call to Order II. Old Business A. Club Rush (September 18) III. New Business A. Cabinet and Advisor Introductions B. What is GATE? i. “Going Academically to Extremes,” GATE is an academic club with an emphasis on personal enrichment and exploration. Our club mascot is an owl. C. Meetings Structure i. 2 Meetings a Month (Every Other Tuesday) ii. The first meeting will introduce any new activities for the month, the second meeting will serve as club-bonding activities. D. Point System i. 1 Point for Meetings, 5 Points for Monthly Projects (Additional 0-3 for Creativity), 3 Points for a Virtual Tour (3 Tours Max. Per Month), 1 Point Kahoot Participation (Top 3 Get 2 Points) ii. New Medallion Requirements: 200 Cumulative Points & Must Earn 30 Points Senior Year and Do Monthly Projects (Based on Class) a) Class of 2021: 2 Projects b) Class of 2022: 3 Projects c) Class of 2023 & 2024: 4 Projects E. Website & Contact i. New GATE Website ii. Opt In to Be on the Email List for Notifications (Currently in Testing) IV. Reminders: Applications are due on October 7, 2020.
